When Abdul Hadi and I first told people we were going to spend eighteen days travelling through Iran, we were met with curiosity, amazement and warnings. The tour spanned just under two weeks and included all the major Chinese landmarks including the Great Wall, Forbidden City and Terracotta Warriors. The tour company is a halal tourism operator, focusing on Muslim tourists and also offering their customers with the opportunity to visit Islamic communities and monuments in different Chinese cities.
